In a landmark drilling automation project on the Alaskan North Slope, BP and Parker Drilling partnered with us to implement a suite of automation technologies to improve efficiency and performance. We installed our NOVOS reflexive drilling system to provide BP with unmatched control and consistency, and used downhole tools to collect data in real time via wired drill pipe telemetry. NOVOS automated repetitive drilling activities and enabled our drilling performance applications to optimize downhole drilling dynamics, which was critical in the fragile geological conditions of the Arctic.
