[Signalis] What would you do to keep a Promise?

How far would you go to keep a promise? What lengths would you go to? What hell would you endure? For a family member? A friend? A partner? What’s the promise itself? Is it that important? Is it worth it? What will it cost you, and even others, in the end?

I hope you guys enjoy this video! This video felt like a dumpster fire that I somewhat contained into a coherent experience, but I guess we'll see on that front. I really love this game and hopefully something in this video gets that across.

Regarding the correction at 43:20, In Act 1 of the game, our Replika Number is LSTR-2301, in the mines it changes to LSTR-512, then in Nowhere I believe it goes back to being LSTR-2301, and then finally, after the fake out ending, once we've taken parts from the already dead Elster next to the cryo pod and proceed to Rotfront, I believe it either changes to LSTR-512, or just LSTR for the rest of the game(I can't remember which), you can test this for yourself by dying in certain parts/acts of the game and checking the Unit Number on the Blue Death Screen.

Also, upon watching the video all the way through pre-upload, I had realized I didn't even address anything about Alina Seo, Lilith Itou(Possibly Elster's Gestalt), or how Isa Itou had even gotten into this hellscape. With Alina, I believe she had an Elster she cared about and hadn't heard from, hence her notes mentioning not seeing/hearing from Elster in awhile, and I believe that the Signal had tried to "rewrite" Alina into Ariane, hence her notes in Nowhere mentioning her hair turning white, and remembering a different name and life than her own. Her ultimate fate could be that she died, or she did somehow become the Ariane in the endings through Bioresonance, but I'm not too sure on that one.

I think Isa preformed some sort of Bioresonant ritual and was transported to S-23, hence the still of her with a knife in the intro cutscene, followed by a quick flash of blood dripping onto the symbol on the ground.

Ultimately there's a lot more I could have/DEFINITELY should have discussed, but this video fell victim to scope creep, and I wasn't prepared for how long it would end up taking to make, let alone the final runtime being just shy of 3 hours. If you look at my last few videos, the longest is like 40 minutes. That's it. So I confidently went into this one thinking "It'll probably be like an hour long at most, I love this game! Let's go for it!" and then as I wrote more and more of the script I slowly realized this was going to be longer than that, and then once editing truly started, and it was an HOUR LONG when Act 1 hadn't even finished, that's when I knew I may have bit off more than I could chew.

NONE OF THAT makes this video immune to criticism, for the love of god, criticize this video, let me know what you think I could've done better, I'll gladly take it. I could have delayed and rewritten huge swaths of the script and re-edit a lot of it, but as they say, "Perfect is the enemy of Finished." (Hell, maybe one day when I'm a bit better at this and more prepared, I'll tackle Signalis again, but don't hold me to that.)

I hope you at least liked the video, and the next video will be shorter and definitely more lighthearted. For now, though, I'm going to go sleep a lot and play Doom: The Dark Ages.
