Jongen presents the solid carbide milling cutter type 477W for high-performance operations of steel, stainless steel and cast iron. This tool is particularly suitable for processing difficult-to-machine materials such as stainless steel and high-alloy steel, as well as titanium.
The Jongen UNI-MILL solid carbide milling cutter type VHM 477W offers a wide range of applications in terms of tasks and materials. For example, the front surface cutting geometry is also extremely suitable for plunge milling operations. Depending on the diameter, the cutting edge length is designed up to 4.5xø, the effective length up to 5xø.
The tools are equally suitable for roughing and finishing task areas. They offer extremely high feed rates and long tool lives, even with materials that are difficult to machine, while at the same time excellent surface qualities are achieved during the finishing process.
This tool type also offers enormous flexibility in terms of coolant supply, as it is equally suitable for wet machining, dry machining and minimum quantity lubrication.
The optimised micro and macro geometry enable a very high metal removal rate and a long tool life.
Due to the dynamic twist angle and the unequal pitch, the tool has excellent running smoothness and offers high process reliability. Machine downtimes are minimised.
Due to the finest grain carbide used in the ISO range K20-K30, the tool offers very high tenacity with even higher wear resistance.
The performance-optimized TiAlN coating offers high oxidation resistance and a high wear volume due to the finest layer structure.
The shank is designed according to DIN 6535-HB, as a Weldon shank, for a stable holding of the tool. The undercut shank increases the working length up to the DIN clamping length.
The cutters are available in diameter ranges from 6-25 mm.
