Let it Go - Official Music Video

I wrote this song as I navigated some of the hardest times of my life. I wrestled with my purpose, whether I brought value to anyone around me, and genuinely just feeling like I was aimlessly spinning through life. I won't bore you with the details, but I was questioning everything. As the times got darker, I started to really understand that this is a chiseling moment in my journey. As corny as it is, I think of a blade being shaped by a blade smith. Some of the most brutal, hardest blows occur at the beginning of the story. And at the end is a tool that is useful and capable. I rediscovered my relationship with my creator, I began to see just how he was working in me and around me. I picked up guitar again about a year ago, and one night these words and this melody just came into my head. I've never experienced anything quite like that in my life. So I wrote it down and I played this song every night before leaving our building. I've had to let go of stress, fear, and truthfully my own will for my life. This song speaks briefly to that journey.

Truthfully, I planned to just keep this private between me and God. But we as a team felt called to release it. I know I'm not a professional guitarist or singer, but I sincerely hope that if you are going through the storm right now, that this song speaks into your life in some small way. Just as it helped carry me through challenging times.

You have what it takes. The things you are going through are forming you into who you are supposed to become. I believe God is sovereign through all things, and he uses the bad we experience for good. The hard part: we almost never know "the why" in the moment, and it can be very challenging to take a step into the next day. It can be hard to remember that all seasons come to an end.
