Iconic is an overused word these days, but it's safe to say the Thunderhawk Gunship of the Space Marines of the Legiones and Adeptus Astartes is worthy of such a descriptor. From the movie "Ultramarines" to the Space Marine computer games
The most recognised of these interface-gunships are two 28mm models designed and produced by
Forge World. Separated by 15 years, these mammoth models are magnificently detailed army and display centrepieces that are instantly recognisable.
Please join me for a comparison of these two flying behemoths where I take a look at how the Thunderhawk's design evolved from Tim Adcock's 2002 original to Daren Parwood's 2016 update. had a rare opportunity to film these two models side by side, I hope you enjoy my observations on what remained the same and what changed.
