This is the current-day Katarinahissen located by Slussen transport interchange on Södermalm in Stockholm, Sweden.
What's unique about this outdoor elevator is that it doesn't have glass windows in most of it's shaft.

This historic elevator was first built in 1936 but in 2010, it stopped working in its original condition. On October 19th 2023, after it was modernised by Hissgruppen and some lengthy renovations, it was put back into service.
Until the end of May 2024, it was possible to ride it for free but you'll now have to pay 20 SEK to use it.

The original 'Katarinahissen' was built in 1883 but was demolished in 1933 following the reconstruction of Slussen transport interchange.

From the top floor, you can get stunning views of Stockholm City including Gamla Stan, Skeppsholmen and parts of Södermalm.
