🥥 Sweet Ragi Semiya Recipe (with coconut & sugar)

Ingredients (for 500 g ragi semiya – ~8–10 servings) :
Ragi semiya (dry) – 500 g
Fresh grated coconut – 1 ½ cups (about 120 g)
White sugar – 1 to 1 ¼ cups (200–250 g) (adjust sweetness to taste)
Cardamom powder – ½ tsp
Water – for soaking + cooking
Method:
Soak semiya:
Take 500 g ragi semiya, place in a bowl, add enough water to cover.
Soak for 3–4 minutes only, then immediately drain in a colander. (Don’t over-soak, or it will turn mushy).
Steam semiya:
Place the drained semiya in an idli cooker/steamer.
Steam for 8–10 minutes until soft and cooked
In a bowl
Add the steamed semiya,
Add 1–1¼ cups sugar + ½ tsp cardamom powder Add 1 ½ cups fresh grated coconut
Mix well
Ragi Semiya ready💖
