On our way to celebrate our granddaughter's birthday, we decided to stop for a short bicycle ride up to Rib Mountain State Park just outside of Wausau Wisconsin. This area is consistently one of the most spectacular displays of fall colors we see every year. It is a short ride, but the 800+ feet of climbing in 2 miles is a leg burner. Luckily, you are distracted by the beautiful color. Unfortunately Wasau does not have a very connected set of bicycle trails in their city area.
