Jimmy Dugan (Tom Hanks), a washed-up ballplayer whose big league days are over, is hired to be a head coach in the All-American Girls Baseball League of 1943, established while the male pros are at war. Jimmy finds himself inspired by the heart and heroics of his all-girl team. A LEAGUE OF THEIR OWN also stars Geena Davis as Dottie Hinson, the star player, and Madonna as "All the Way" Mae Mordabito.
