There are lots of skills you have to combine in life drawing. Ultimately, there is one principle that runs through every drawing and painting that you do.

A large proportion of the problems that artists face when drawing and painting figures comes back to getting this wrong. Knowing this principle doesn't make things easy, but it does help you see what you need to focus your practice on.
