April showers, UV powers: Sunburns sneak up despite cooler temps

In the Spring, the air is cooler as temperatures gradually warm up from Winter. Sunburns are the last thing on most people's minds.
However, temperature doesn't play as big of a role in UV indices and the risk of sunburn as you may think.
In reality, it's all about the sun's angle, which changes throughout the year.
In the Northern Hemisphere (i.e., the United States), the sun's angle is the lowest in December and the highest in June.
