The North Shore lit up for the first real swell of the season, and Pipeline didn’t disappoint. Solid double-overhead sets rolled through in the morning with some heavy waves that had everyone charging. Conditions started out somewhat clean in the fair to good range, but by midday the wind kicked in and turned the lineup into chopped salad, just in time for lunch. A few heavy barrels, and classic early-season energy in the water. A taste of what’s to come this winter on Oʻahu.
