Note that the officer claims to have been pacing DashMan at 65 miles per hour. It is possible that the officer was pacing one of the vehicles that passed DashMan and mistakenly pulled over the wrong vehicle. It is also possible that the officer was fishing for a DUI or other violation to collect revenue for the state.
Pacing is not an accurate means of determining speed. It is subjective and much less reliable in low light conditions. Distance also decreases its dependability.
In court it becomes a he said she said situation, and courts are notorious for leaning towards the word of an officer.
I highly recommend you get a dashcam to ensure your safety against road piracy. My recommendations can be found linked in the description.
If you Do get a Dashcam, be sure to choose a 2 channel model. It would be interesting to have seen a rear facing video to see how long the officer could have been pacing him, and if, while he was allegedly pacing DashMan, the officer maintained his own speed and from how far away he was pacing.
