On September 10, 2025, the Department of War (DoW) issued the 48 CFR final rule, amending the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) to incorporate the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) program into defense contracts effective November 10, 2025.
