MLP Mulan Part 17: The Tung Shao Pass

Mulan, Shang and the rest of the force head through the Tung Shao Pass to reach the Imperial City. On the way, they are ambushed by the main Hun army. Even though it looks like certain doom for the Chinese, Mulan starts an avalanche with a cannon, wiping out the Huns. However, she is wounded by Shan Yu and collapses.
This one is one of the most technically complicated movie scenes I have ever had to do. A few scenes in the Pony of Egypt and Equestria's New Groove were equally hard though. Fortunately, MLP has plenty of avalanche scenes to draw upon. Another trick was figuring out a way to re-color non-snow scenes to white. It worked, but not as well as I hoped.
We're now down to about 28 minutes left in the movie, if I include the full credits. Fortunately, most of the hard scenes are over, only the climax at the Imperial City might take more time. I'm still working on real life things and other videos as well, but this whole thing will likely be done in a few months, perhaps by year's end.
