Welcome to the channel.
Today’s little adventure wasn’t a massive journey but whilst at the Bittern Market we thought we’d take the train to the end of the line and back which took no longer than 34 minutes.
The Stony Point line is an extension from Frankston that has Long Island Siding on it also.
Bittern is the fourth last stop with Morradoo, Crib Point then Stony Point.
The service uses V/Line Sprinters but is operated by Metro (the suburban operator in Melbourne) and once used Diesels when V/Line was running the service.
Also just out of Bittern is the former junction of the Red Hill line which closed many decades ago but if you look closely or do more investigating you can find the former track cuttings.
