This short documentary explores Polomolok’s journey from a conflict-affected municipality to a community rebuilding its future through unity and shared progress. Home to Muslims, Indigenous Peoples (IPs), and Christian Settlers, the town began its transformation through the ProPEACE Program’s sustained peacebuilding efforts.
Through revitalized cultural learning spaces like the Cultural Heritage Learning Center (CHLC), strengthened Muslim institutions such as the Muslim Council of Elders and the Moro Youth Organization of Polomolok (MYOP), and growing cooperatives that support local livelihoods, residents are reclaiming stability and identity. Even Malyango—once a conflict hotspot—has emerged as a thriving tourist destination led by a former combatant.
Seeds of Peace: The Rebirth of Polomolok shows how livelihoods grounded in a culture of peace can prevent violent extremism and open a new chapter for communities long shaped by conflict.
