Bonnie Lou was a pioneer of rock and rockabilly whose roots were country-western. In 1945 she was asked to provide this demo of her yodeling version of the song to WLW. Partly based on this she was hired away from KMBC in Kansas City and went on to perform before millions on TV and in person for 60 years.
