Found £££s worth of valuable free fishing tackle on the beach - I managed to scavenge grip weights, plain weights, swivels, beads, links, lures, jigs, booms and other components. With a big spring tide, areas of the beach not normally exposed revealed heaps of old fishing tackle and I had a lovely refreshing walk at the same time. Also, seeing the beach on these spring low tides also allows you to discover the likely fish holding spots to target when fishing the same location over high tide. This beach is good for mackerel, gurnard, whiting, bass, bull huss and the range of fishing rigs I found reflected these various target species.
