OC Transpo Stage 2 LRT Detours: Route 99 Detour into Limebank, btwn Leitrim and Riverview (Mar 2025)

This is a video of Route 99 operating between Letrim Station and Riverview Park and Ride, being detoured to service Limebank Station in the interim.

(This is the routing PRIOR TO 'New Ways to Bus' (NWTB) that went into effect on April 27, 2025, when Route 99 previously ran between Greenboro Station and Barrhaven Centre. After NWTB went tnto affect, it was revised to start and end at Limebank Station, with service removed north of Limebank Station including Leitrim Station and Greenboro Station. Furthermore, as part of NWBT, Route 99 no longer serviced Riverview Park and Ride, with the routing instead operating via Spratt Road, Borbridge Avenue, and River Road)

On January 6, 2025, the O-Train Trillium Line reopened to the public following Stage 2 LRT Construction that began in May 2020, as part of the O-Train South Extension Project. The Trillium Line was extended south from Greenboro Station to Limebank Station, with Line 2 operating between Bayview Station and Limebank Station, while Line 4 operating between South Keys Station and Airport Station (Ottawa MacDonald Cartier International Airport).

The reopening of the Trillium Line was done in 3 Phases in order to ensure everything ran smoothly. The Phases and implementaion dates were:
Phase 1 - January 6, 2025 for 5 days a week (Weekdays only)
Phase 2 - January 25, 2025 for 6 days a week (Weekdays and Saturdays)
Phase 3 - March 16, 2025 for 7 days a week (Weekdays, Saturdays, and Sundays)

OC Transpo implemented this temproary detour in the interim for Route 99 by having it service Limebank Station at Phase 3 of the reopening of the Trillium Line, which added an additional 6 to 7 minute run time to the trip.
