Pura Ulun Danu Beratan, often called the "Floating Temple," is an iconic Balinese Hindu water temple on the serene Lake Beratan in the cool highlands of Bedugul, known for its picturesque setting with tiered shrines (meru) seemingly floating on the water, dedicated to the lake goddess Dewi Danu for water and fertility, serving as a vital source for the region's irrigation system and a beloved cultural and photographic landmark, famously appearing on the Rp50,000 banknote.
