Dougie gives some tips on how to fly a De Haviland DHC-2 Beaver seaplane on our trip to the San Jaun Islands from Seattle. I’m learning to fly the Beaver on floats was able to ride along on a number of flights with some of the best pilots around! This was not a training flight but I got a chance to pick up some great tips and had a fun flight to Friday harbor and back.
We landed over the rock quarry from the south west which is a fun approach to Friday harbor. It was nice to go as a passenger with no responsibility’s and just enjoy the flight.
