The Best watches of 2021 (according to industry hotshots)

As the year draws to a close, it's time to look back a little bit on the watches we've seen introduced in the past year.
So I went to the Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève to see which watches made it to the top of the list, according to the hotshots.
These prizes are considered the Oscars for the watch industry. The initiative is organized by the Fondation du Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève, a non-profit that was founded by the city of Geneva, the watch museum in La Chaux de Fonds and Edipresse mediagroup.
The foundation is funded by Les Amis du GPHG, which is made up of companies, institutions and individuals who support the foundation and who wish to demonstrate their support to its identity, values and projects.
It does officially not receive any direct financial support from watch brands for reasons of neutrality, apart from participation fees. Partners therefore do have an essential role to play and fully contribute to promoting the watchmaking industry.
In total, there are fifteen categories, including tourbillon, ladies, diver's and calendars. But the most prestigious prize of all is the Aiguille d'Or: the best watch in all categories.
The jury changes every year and is made up of industry professionals such as watchmakers, ceos, journalists and jewelers. Together, they judge the watches that are sent in by the watch companies.
For the virtue of making the best of your time, I’ll race through what I think are the most interesting winners.
