How to DIY Detail Your Car's Carpets - 2002 GMC Yukon Restoration Clean

In this video, I walk you through the process I'm going to use to shampoo, clean, and detail the carpets in the 2002 GMC Yukon SLE 5.3L Vortec. I'm using what I have on hand to at least bring the carpets back to a little more presentable state.

Folex is a great general-purpose carpet and upholstery cleaner! If you haven't ever tried it, give it a shot! As for extraction, if you don't have a proper extractor, then these spot-bot things or a wet/dry shop vac work pretty well. The goal is to not leave the carpets overly damp and to also pull out all the dirt we agitate out of the fibers. If you don't have a drill brush, I highly recommend them for speeding the process up but you can of course use good old-fashioned elbow grease with a handheld carpet brush.
