The oil pick up tube o-ring on most Chevrolet and GMC trucks with 5.3, 6 and 6.2 V8 engines are prone to shrink over time and cause low oil pressure when oil gets hot. Most of the peopler will tell you that the front differential needs to be dropped to remove the oil pan but in my case it's not necessary, just remove the 2 bolts holding the differential and lower the rack and pinion.. can be done in less than an hour.
