World's First Vegan CAESAR's Salad, Tijuana, Mexico

The world famous CAESAR'S salad was invented by restaurateur Caesar Cardini in Tijuana,
Mexico at Restaurante CAESAR'S on July 4, 1924.

Chef Armando Villegas has been making the original CAESAR'S salad at Restaurante CAESAR'S for over 33 years.

On January 23, 2018, HappyCow's Ken Spector met Chef Armando Villegas at Telefónica Gastro Park's Tijuana CAESAR'S restaurant, which is owned by the same owners at the original Restaurante CAESAR'S.

Ken asked Armando if he could make a vegan version of the original CAESAR'S salad, which is not vegan.

Together, Armando Villegas and Ken Spector created the first original vegan CAESAR'S salad, and following is the video of Ken Spector and Armando Villegas tasting the very first original vegan CAESAR'S salad made at Tijuana CAESAR'S.
