May Thielgaard Watt's poem "Vision" is set by Andrea Ramsey with the hope of evoking how alive and electric the smallest beauties can be when one is experiencing the newness of love. With moments of mixed meter and playful piano, and melodic vocal lines, the work provides great variety and musical opportunities for singers while remaining accessible and honest to the text.
Premiered by Waukee High School A Cappella Choir at the 2015 National Convention of the American Choral Directors Association in Salt Lake City, Utah.
