The Unnecessary Overconsumption Ruining the Book Community

The book community has a HUGE problem with overconsumption, where buying books has become more about consumerism than passion for reading. Book hauls and the pressure to have the biggest library are fueling this obsession with quantity over quality. The unhealthy competition and focus on what really matters—our love for books, not just the aesthetics.

From the endless TBR pile that keeps growing to the focus on special editions over quality, the book community is facing a major dilemma. With books piling up faster than we can read them, I have to ask: is this a passionate hobby, or has it turned into an addiction?
