To me very clearly, this tune is about love.
And how could it be any other way. 🙂
We are made of and surrounded by light.
Even if at times things feel very dark and heavy, light is just one thought away, just one moment of awareness.
We can practise to connect to it at any given situation and we can let it guide us, let it flow into all of our actions, nourish us and let us nourish our environment through the things that we choose to do with love.

This has been my number one rule for the last two or three years already and it's been hard enough to keep it up and not fall back into the old patterns of anger, fear and greed.
As always, there are good days and bad days, strong and easy moments, and moments where the light seems to be far away.
But we know that it's near! :)

"Near Light" was originally composed by neo-classic hero Ólafur Arnalds and a good old friend pointed me towards this beautiful piano piece more than 10 years ago.
I followed his suggestion to give it my Trance touch and only about two years ago I finally brought it to a shape that felt ready for me to show it to the world.
Since then I gave it many many test runs at my shows, while at the same time fine tuning it to its final stage and also trying to find a way to make it an official remix release.
After some back and forth with the team around Ólafur, "Cold Blue - Near Light" was the agreed solution and I'm very grateful for the opportunity to be able to share it with all of you now via Cold Blue Records.
