Tribute to Mozart,
His letters to his wife, Constanze, are some of the most touching, flirtatious, and genuinely funny documents in music history
One of his most famous letters describes him blowing kisses toward her across the miles. He didn't just say "I miss you"; he choreographed it:
"I am blowing 22 kisses to you, just as I told you before. They are all flying through the air... I just saw a whole crowd of them! Oh, look! Catch them! I’ve sent them specially for you."
After his death, Contanze was charged with preserving his legacy, painstakingly cataloging his works and coordinating the completion of his Requeim. Little credit has been bestowed upon her for without Constanze, the Mozart we know may not exist today.
