In this lesson we take a bite at possibly the most difficult aspect of Serbian language - cases, focusing on accusative, the case necessary for forming sentences with verbs "to have" and "not to have".
We take a look at letters of the cyrillic alphabet that look like letters of the Latin alphabet, but are actually different sounds.
Here is the rest of those sneaky pairs:
Cyrillic ------------------Latin
Н н --- N n
Х х --- H h
Р р --- R r
П п --- P p
С с --- S s
Ц ц --- C c
** Note:
If you want to use the short form of personal pronouns in accusative (me,te,ga...) with a transitive verb (such as vidim, volim, čekam...) you will have to reverse the word order, so that it is no longer, say, "I see you" but "I you see". This is not necessary when using the full forms (mene, tebe, njega..) but it can be done.
If something is not clear enough, let me know.
Good luck!
