America's about to dominate space in a way that cements dominance for the next century, and most people are completely missing it while they're worried about GDP and trade deficits.

We're all focused on the traditional metrics of power, manufacturing, debt, the usual stuff. But what's happening right now above our heads is going to change everything. I'm talking about Starlink with 9,000 satellites already operational, AI data centers launching into orbit where you get unlimited solar power and no cooling costs, asteroid mining that's going to break China's rare earth monopoly, moon bases in the early 2030s that become the jump-off point for everything else, and Mars colonies that guarantee human civilization survives no matter what happens on Earth.

The crazy part? America's the only country with all the pieces to make this happen. SpaceX has the reusable rockets, we have the AI companies building the models, we have the capital markets to finance it, and we have the regulatory environment that lets private companies actually innovate without the government strangling everything. China talks about space, but they don't have the launch capacity, they don't have the reusable technology, and their system doesn't allow for the kind of rapid innovation you need when America's already a decade ahead.

This isn't some distant future thing. Starship is flying right now. The economics are starting to work. And the gap's only getting wider because the more we do in space, the cheaper it gets, the faster we innovate, the harder it becomes for anyone else to catch up. China could pour a trillion dollars into their space program tomorrow and still be a decade behind, and by the time they catch up to where we are now, we'll be another decade ahead.

That's what actual dominance looks like. Not just being in front, but being so far ahead the gap becomes unbridgeable.
