From Unboxing to Necklace | September 2025 Bargain Bead Box

Fall-Inspired Necklace | Sweater Weather Beads + Raku Leaf Pendant In this video, I started with a plan to use 1mm leather cord from Thunderhorse Descendant, but the sizing was inconsistent and didn’t fit through the bead holes—so I switched gears! I used C-Lon cording in two rich fall tones and finished the piece with chain from the September 2025 Sweater Weather Bargain Bead Box.

The centerpiece is a gorgeous raku-fired leaf pendant handmade by Amy Mealay of XAZ Bead, and the final design blends earthy textures with warm seasonal colors. I’ll walk you through the process, share tips for working with C-Lon, and show how I adapted the design when things didn’t go as planned.

🪨 Gemstone Highlights:

• Mahogany Obsidian – A volcanic glass formed from rapidly cooled lava, rich in iron and manganese. These mineral impurities give it its signature reddish-brown tones and grounding energy.

• Petrified Wood – Fossilized wood where organic material has been replaced by minerals like quartz, chalcedony, and sometimes opal or calcite. Iron, manganese, and copper contribute to its earthy reds, greens, and blues
