LEICA APO-SUMMICRON-SL 90 f/2 ASPH on LUMIX S1R vs Nikon 85mm 1,4G on D3S and Leica M90mm ELMARIT

I am the happiest guy in the world !!!!

Believe me or not, this LEICA APO-SUMMICRON-SL 90 f/2 ASPH is the master of the portraiture ! For what I have seen in few hours of use, I've been impressed.

No Chromatic aberration
Very versatile what ever the distance of the subject.
Crispy details
delicate sweetness in the background
Dreamy blurred background
Natural colors
Fast Auto Focus on the LUMIX S1R
Accurate and precise AF
Some hunting but it's due to the Contrat detection AF only of the Lumix.

I found it on the used market for nearly half the price of a new one, in mint condition and the store, Germain Photo in Tours was kind enough to let me test it before I decide myself. Thanks a lot Marc for your patience and your kindness.

I wanted to compare it with the Nikon 85mm AF-S 1.4 G lens.

Chromatic aberration free and versatility make the difference.
The Nikon 85mm is sold, in one day !!! Don't be scared it is also a very good portrait lens but the Leica has its own character and the crispy pictures that come out of it are awesome.

I also compared it with the Leica M 90mm ELMARIT f/2.8 which has not been unworthy and his performances remain out of the ordinary. This tiny little 90mm for M Mount is a bargain if you can find one on the used market. its resolving power is up to the S1R sensor.
