Removing RIFA Capacitors from my Commodore 8050 and Super PET.
These are built in to the power cord socket and are there to filter RF noise from feeding back into the electrical mains. Unfortunately as they age, they tend to short out releasing smoke and smelling up the place. Better to replace or remove them before they short out.
