FUN FACT: The phrase „To jsem z toho jelen“ has an interesting origin.
It was during the first world war when the Czech soldiers has to fight alongside with the Hungarian army. The Hungarians had to confirm their presence by saying: „Jelen“ which means „present“ in Hungarian, but „deer“ in Czech. The Czechs found it amusing for the Hungarian soldiers calling themselves „deers“ and started using it then and this idiom is common even nowadays.
