After a horrific assault at 41 days old Tony was on life support, and had to have his leg amputated.
Tony made a miraculous recovery and learnt to walk with crutches on his new prosthetic. Tony wanted to give back to Evelina London Children’s Hospital, his second home. Inspired by Captain Tom, he aimed to raise £500 by walking 10km in 30 days.
His efforts captured the imagination of millions of people and by the time he completed his final walk, tens of thousands of supporters had donated £1,073,121.
