Today, I visited the nearly deserted Livingston Mall in New Jersey. Like many malls across the U.S., this one is on the brink of shutting down for good. With only a handful of stores left and maintenance falling by the wayside, it’s clear that the end may be near.
I spoke with a shop owner who shared their frustration about not being able to reach management or the mall's owner. Many businesses have already packed up and moved on, leaving behind a quiet space that now serves as little more than a walking trail for those getting their steps in.
