A day trip visit to the market town of Stanhope in the Durham Dales.
Check out the beautiful stone buildings at the beginning of the video leading up to Ashes Quarry.
Ashes Quarry just above Stanhope is surrounded by the North Pennines Area of Natural Beauty. Here Quarrymen carved out Limestone for 70 years until the 1940's. The circular route runs for 2 miles.
Next I walked up to Crawleyside Village bank surrounded by the beautiful stone buildings.
I walked up to the Crawley Engine Car Park where there are 2 farm houses at either side of the road. I then walked through the gate on the Moors walking past Crawley Edge, then past the Quarry before ending up in Stanhope for food and a Latte.
The video ends at Stanhope Ford & Stepping Stones.
