Rainy day vlog caring for the animals at Bellowing Acres! And a PSA, I’m not slidin in your grannies DMs!! This is an actual email we received, I’m not even joking, I posted it on my community page. Absolutely crazy lol.
But really, this is very sad and we’ve had several messages this month about people being scammed thinking they were talking to me or gabby.
Reminder to watch for scammers! I post about scammers every few months, there are so many though it’s hard to keep up! Lots of scammers out there! For one, I would never talk like that 😂, for two I don’t reach out to anyone EVER! If you ever have anyone reaching out, it’s not me. My only two Facebook accounts are Chris Gillette and Gator Chris.
I also will NEVER ask anyone for their private or financial info EVER, when I am fundraising for my nonprofit donations are sent specifically on our website bellowingacres.org or use the donation link in Facebook when I post it, and if anyone ever wants to tip me for my education work I am GatorChris1 on Venmo, cashapp, and PayPal. Watch for scammers on payment apps too, there are a few using my pic and slight misspellings of my username.
Just always be careful out there guys and pay attention, the fake accounts and scammers get better every year!
Scammers can send fake emails that look like they come from a real company, government agency, or even your own email address. This is called email spoofing. The scammer tricks the email system into displaying a fake “From” address, making it seem like the message comes from someone you trust. These emails might ask for personal information, request money, or contain dangerous links. Just because an email looks like it came from a real address doesn’t mean it actually did. This is a common trick used in scams and phishing attacks.
