Rise of Skanderbeg - From Ottoman Bey to Albanian Hero - 4k History

For 25 years, from 1443 to 1468, Skanderbeg's 10,000 man army marched through Ottoman territory winning against larger numerical and better supplied armies. In this video, we will talk about the origin of the House of Kastrioti, and the unification of the Albanian Principalities. In addition of the early wars with Venice, and all the main battles from Torvioll in 1444 to the fourth and final siege of Kruja in 1478. Skanderbeg was one of the most formidable foes faced by the Ottoman Empire throughout its history, militarily the Albanian lord accomplished what few in the Balkans did, halting the peak ottoman expansion throughout Europe.
