Our TERRIBLE HOSTEL EXPERIENCE | Budget Travel in Costa Rica

It's our first big travel mistake and we somehow ended up in the worst hostel ever. Cockroaches, brown sludge dripping from the showers, and insane heat with no windows - guess that's to be expected when you are traveling on a budget in costa rica. BUT .. we were also able to hang out with and feed monkeys the following morning! Turns out, there are a lot of travel mistakes to avoid when doing hostel travel in South America and making sure your booking dates are correct is one of the biggest.

In the end, we learned from our experience and lived to tell the tale!
