Mass Effect 3 - Almost Shooting Mordin

My paragon ass Shep can't actually go through with it, but I've always adored this argument between Shepard and Mordin if you do try to oppose the cure. It's a great character moment for Mordin, to have to admit his regret and fully insist that he made a mistake.

I also adore threatening Mordin and saying it's for the sake of Earth. I adore in general picking funny renegade moments for a mostly paragon Shepard. A hero who struggles to stick to his morals in the face of extinction, with the fate of the entire galaxy weighing on his shoulders. Who maybe does worry about what the Krogan will do when the war is over. Who is desperate for that Salarian aid.

It's no fun being a paragon if there aren't temptations to be worse all over the place. And I think a more heroic sort of Shepard should be concerned about these things, even if they don't ultimately act on it. (Honestly, making these worries part of the reason that a paragon Shep would choose control is fun to think about. The Krogan won't rebel, the Geth won't be a problem, when you have the might of the Reapers to ensure these problems don't arise.)

And I adore just how long that renegade interrupt sits on the screen. How long you sit there, the option to shoot Mordin sitting in your mind. And I love that even if he doesn't kill Mordin, Shepard throws aside his gun, disgusted that he ever thought about doing it.
