Meet the, JLD Bridge Doctor, Maker Part 1

On Tuesday Feb. 4, 2025, three months after The October Flood, Mr. Don Kendall (founder and creator of the JLD Bridge Doctor), Todd Kendall (youngest son of three and heir apparent) and his sweet partner Acacia welcomed me to tour the red barn home of the JLD Bridge Doctor. Sharing with me the JLD Story. All the while taking, filling and shipping orders amidst their continuing flood water recovery efforts. "We had a mess". "Still got a mess". "It just looked like somebody took a mixer to this shop". "See there's the waterline there, up on the door". Three feet of water inside the shop. Outside, the flood waters floated a very long, heavy "trailer frame from end of the property to the other, washed the telephone poles up under the truck, ruined all of our vehicles, brochures and yellow cards for our packages." One major recovery challenge is getting "the mess" cleaned up without having flood insurance. And still, they preserver. I am honored to have spent the day with these three most resilient, gracious, and generous folks. Thanks for your hospitality.
