Eurocopter Ec-135 formation flight to Hungaroring

Hungary has got a motor-racing circuit in Mogyoród where the Formula One Hungarian Grand Prix is held.

The protocol is that the race have to be protected with two medical helicopters.
Hungarian Air Ambulance had to rent two EC-135 from Austrian (ÖAMTC) to provide the coverage of Hungary.

OE-XEM and OE-XET arrived from Austria, Wiener-Neustadt on Wednesday evening (2013.07.24.)to Budaörs Medical Helicopter Base.

The helicopters started next morning and flew to Hungaroring medical heliport. One ÖAMTC EC flew to the hungaroring with the Hungarian EC-135 (HA-ECA) the other stayed at Budaörs Medical Helicopter Base.

Two helicopter were on standby in Hungaroring on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. They arrived back to the Medical Base around 7 pm.

Hungarian Air Ambulance started operation in 2006 in today's form. The company has got 5 Eurocopter Ec-135 T-2 (HA-ECA,ECB,ECD,ECF,ECG) and 2 Aerospatiale AS-350 Ecureuil (HA-BDA,BDB).

The helicopters are operating in 5 bases: Budaörs, Balatonfüred, Pécs, Debrecen, Miskolc, Sármellék and Szentes.

Before Hungarian Air Ambulance the air ambulance was under National Ambulance Service's control.
They operated with PZL Mi-2 helicopters and 3 Aerospatiale AS-350 Ecureuils (HA-BDA,BDB,BDC).
