*Up to 25 step excavations can be created with the step excavation assembly.

OPERATION STEPS IN THE VIDEO
Objective: A new road project with a total width of 30 meters will be drawn on an existing road that is 10 meters wide. Step excavation will be applied in sections with significant ground slope in the fill, and its volume will be calculated.
*The alignment, profile, and the assembly of the road have been previously drawn.

1. A corridor and datum surface for the new road will be formed.
2. Step excavation will be applied on the existing surface. A different corridor will be created for the step excavation, and the step width will be set to 3 meters.
*A surface or feature line created from the corridor cannot be targeted for the parts of assembly that form the same corridor. That’s why a different corridor is created for step excavation.
3. The datum surface will be targeted, so step excavation will not be applied on the datum surface above this surface.
4. Step excavation will not be applied in areas where the ground slope is less than 20%.
5. Step excavation will not be performed on the existing road. To ensure this, the boundary lines of the existing road will be targeted so that the step excavation starts from these boundaries.
6. Step excavation will be performed up to the slope edge of the new road. The slope edges will be targeted for this purpose.
7. The final step width will be extended up to the slope edge.
8. A stripping excavation of 1 meter in height will be created, and then step excavation will be applied to the stripping surface.
9. The volume of the step excavation will be calculated.
10. Application points for the step excavation will be generated.
