Bone Valley Fossil Farm has been a hot topic in social media groups as their customers keep recovering very pretty megalodon teeth. A lot of conversations base around the 1 question, do you think it's worth it? Well for me, I am able to find sites and find fossils fairly well after my years of experience. Truthfully though, most of my success is based on going where other's will not go, usually due to fear. This is true of my family as well. They have been along with me, but have never actually hunted the way I hunt. So this was a chance to actually hunt together. Of course we could just look along Venice, Casperson, and Manasota Beach and fossil hunt there. Yes, we could... but the chances of anyone in the family even finding a broken and tumbled bland black megalodon tooth are slim to none. We went to Bone Valley Fossil Farm and all found megs (except for my youngest daughter who only hunted for 30 minutes). These megalodon teeth aren't like the ones on the beach either. They have white roots, and green, blue, jet black, or even white enamel. They're gorgeous. So is it worth it? Well that's still up to you, but use this video as a way to get an inside look and determine of what we're holding in our hands makes it worth it to you. And don't forget, you have the chance of coming across a monster tooth like Jace found while we were there. 5.22 inches!
