The solid axle swap project has officially commenced! Chris (@415yota on instagram) has decided to embark on the ULTIMATE #SICMOD - a solid axle swap on his 3rd generation Toyota 4Runner. For those who don't know, a solid axle setup is going to give you superior articulation, better flex, improved traction, and added strength & durability. Solid front axles also give you more ground clearance at the differential and in general are easier to add height with a suspension lift. So comparing this type of setup vs an independent front suspension setup is a night and day difference.
