Aberdeen secured victory in Clinton Lancaster's first game as Head Coach, defeating Motherwell who had a 100% record against the Dons last season. The home side were 3-0 up with 25 minutes to play but two Motherwell penalties reduced the lead to one in the dying moments of the game.
