How the Trump Administration Is Killing Free Press and What That Means for the Public

I spoke to Bruce Brown, President of The Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press, to talk to me about the Trump administration's escalating crackdown on media at the White House, which has raised serious concerns for anyone who believes in a free press. First, the Associated Press was banned from the White House for not calling the Gulf of Mexico, the Gulf of America, and then the administration doubled down when it announced it would handpick the reporters who would participate in pool coverage, which is basically a small group of reporters in certain settings that then relay what happened in those settings to the rest of the Press Corps.
